Automatic Backwashing Multi-Media Filtration System for Sediment and Chlorine Removal
AQUALITEK Automatic Backwashing Multi-Media Filtration Systems
Overview
Designed for consistent performance and minimal supervision, AQUALITEK’s Automatic backwashing multi-media filtration system for sediment and chlorine removal combines layered media beds to capture suspended solids and adsorb residual chlorine. Engineered in Guangzhou with global applications in mind, these systems are ideal for pretreatment before RO, boiler feed, irrigation, and potable water lines.
How It Works
The system uses graded layers of anthracite, sand, garnet, and activated carbon (optional) to arrest particles across a broad size range and reduce free chlorine taste and odor. Automatic timed or differential-pressure-triggered backwash cycles flush captured contaminants and reclassify the media bed, ensuring continuous filtration efficiency and long media life.
Key Benefits
High-efficiency sediment removal, targeted chlorine reduction, and automated backwash greatly lower operating labor and downtime. AQUALITEK systems deliver consistent effluent quality, energy-efficient operation, and extended downstream equipment life — reducing maintenance costs and protecting sensitive membranes and processes.
Applications
Flexible for residential complexes, commercial buildings, food & beverage operations, manufacturing plants, and municipal pretreatment. The automatic backwashing multi-media filtration system for sediment and chlorine removal is scalable from point-of-entry units to large skid-mounted installations for industrial flows.

How long does a water softener system last?
Most systems last 10–15 years with proper maintenance. Resin beads may need replacement after 8–10 years.
What’s the difference between UF and RO?
UF (Ultrafiltration) removes suspended solids, bacteria, and larger molecules. RO (Reverse Osmosis) removes dissolved salts and minerals. They’re often used together for complete treatment.
Are AQT’s water treatment products certified?
Yes! Our products comply with international quality and safety standards, including ISO, CE, and NSF certifications. We prioritize high-quality materials, advanced technology, and strict quality control to ensure superior performance and reliability.
Are mixed bed systems better than two-bed systems?
Mixed bed polishers are used for final polishing after RO or two-bed deionization to achieve ultra-pure water.

RO membrane fouling and scaling are two of the most common causes of performance loss in reverse osmosis systems. Catching the problem early can prevent permanent damage and expensive replacements. This article explains the best indicators and evaluation methods to determine if your RO membrane has started to foul or scale.
Best Parameters to Test in RO Permeate Water (Besides Conductivity)| Insights by AQUALITEK
While conductivity is a key indicator of RO permeate quality, relying on it alone is not enough. To ensure system performance, membrane integrity, and water safety, additional parameters must be tested routinely. This guide covers the most important water quality indicators beyond conductivity and explains why they matter.
