12TPH Ultrafiltration System the Ideal Choice for Industrial and Commercial UF Water Treatment
Overview
The AQUALITEK 12TPH Ultrafiltration (UF) System is designed to provide stable and high-quality water for industrial and commercial applications. With a capacity of 12 tons per hour, this UF solution removes suspended solids, colloids and most bacteria while keeping operation simple and cost-effective.
Features
Key Components
- High-performance UF membranes for consistent filtrate quality
- Robust stainless-steel or FRP skid for durable installation
- Automated PLC control with user-friendly interface
- Integrated cleaning system (CIP) for quick membrane maintenance
Performance
The system provides reliable permeate with low turbidity and reduced pathogens. It operates with moderate energy use and supports continuous or batch operation. Designed for easy maintenance, membrane modules are accessible and cleaning cycles are automated to maximize uptime.
Benefits
- Consistent water quality suitable for process water, boiler feed, cooling towers, and food production
- Lower lifecycle cost through long membrane life and minimal chemical use
- Compact footprint saves space in plants and commercial facilities
- Simple operation reduces the need for specialized staff
Applications
Ideal for manufacturing plants, hotels, hospitals, beverage producers, and wastewater reuse projects. The 12TPH UF System works well as a pretreatment step ahead of RO or as a standalone polishing system.

Question you may concern
How often should I replace filters and membranes?
Filter and membrane lifespan depends on water quality, usage, and system type. General guidelines:
1. Sediment & Carbon Filters: Replace every 6–12 months.
2. RO Membranes: Replace every 2–3 years, depending on water conditions.
3. UF/NF Membranes: Replace every 1–2 years.
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and water quality.
How long does a water softener system last?
Most systems last 10–15 years with proper maintenance. Resin beads may need replacement after 8–10 years.
What is the expected lifespan of a water filter?
Cartridge filters generally last 1–3 months. Media filters require periodic backwashing and media replacement every 1–2 years, depending on usage.
Can ion exchange work with seawater or high-TDS water?
Ion exchange is more suitable for low to moderate TDS water. High-TDS applications often use RO as a primary treatment.
